Supporting the Troops

[In reference to the Republican filibuster to the Veteran Jobs Bill] Seriously? This is disgusting. Doing everything they can to hold the economy back and then blame it on the opposition. I hope all of these idiots are removed from office. As Bugs would say...what a bunch of maroons!
Me
I appreciate that you support our troops, but this is not the way to do it. This is nothing more than "feel-good" legislation intended to attempt a boost in Congress' approval numbers. For the Democrats, it also has the added benefit of further demonizing the Republicans. The problem is, we already have multiple Federally-funded job training programs, so why would we spend a billion dollars that we don't have on something we don't need? Attaching the word "Veteran" to a legislative waste of money doesn't prevent it from being a waste of money. Also, why do people seem to think that more legislation = a better country? I would take the opposite approach. We already have *way* too many programs and *way* too many laws. Perhaps Congress should start by being fiscally responsible, reducing the amount of legislation we have, and stop mortgaging our children's future.
"I'm Afraid of Romney!"

I still don't know why Romney intends to do. All empty words and ideas, nothing of real direction or planning. I would be afraid to be living in a country where he was President.

If you don't know what Romney intends to do, then you haven't been paying attention. Reading people's blog posts or listening to the mainstream media is hardly a legitimate way of learning about a candidate (especially Republicans). If you really want to know, go to his website and read some of his policy documentation and white papers. Also, whether you like to admit it or not, he is a very successful businessman, and I think that is what we need right now... not a Socialist community organizer. Be honest, though... from what I know about your political leanings, I'm pretty sure you don't really care what Romney's plan is, right?

Washington examiner might as well be Fox News buddy. Was Mein Kampf checked out?
Me
Gosh, that reference to Mein Kampf was hilarious... so what you're saying is, anyone who opposes Obama must be like Hitler... ha, ha... really funny. I can't say I'm surprised, though. A common crutch of liberals is name calling, typically because they don't have any reasoned, logical arguments. Obama, good... conservatives, bad. The truly amazing thing is, people still worship this tyrant, even when he has told us his plan is to fully break down the America we know so he can rebuild it to his vision. Perhaps his supporters think this is a good idea?
